I was sceptical about purchasing this, as I thought it wouldn't be any good. I was wrong! Its amazing. There are various lenses that all work great, my favourite so far has to be the macro filter. The detail you get once you get your phone to focus is great! The only downside is the bag that comes with it, is a bit small to fit everything including the tripod in. The tripod itself you can use virtually anywhere. The remote control is simple to set up too. I am really pleased that I bought this and highly recommend it.

The media could not be loaded. I wanted a low cost set of lenses to broaden the range of pictures I could take on my old Wileyfox Swift 2. This set has been a revelation to me. I expect a hardcore photographer would find all sorts of deficiencies with these lenses but for an amateur snapper and Instagrammer like me they're just fine. I have attached some pictures and a video to show the telephoto lens. The video was shot from over 100ft away. Considering the Skylarks were fast and erratic I think the lens caught them pretty well. I have also used the star filter and the fisheye. The macro is great fun but my phone struggles to maintain focus. This is the phone's problem not the lens. The quality of the lenses looks good to me and you get a tripod and carry bag although I would've preferred a case like some of the other Apexcel kits. Still, you can't have everything. I'm pretty happy.

Taking each component in turn: The18x Telephoto lens is a little grainy it has its own adjustable clip to attach to your phone. All the moving parts in the sliding clip makes it hard to line up on a phone but it's adjustable settings would make it suitable for tablets and the like. It's about 4" long and impossible to hold steady enough. Thus I assume that addition of the tripod. The tripod itself is lacking. It's filmsy and while the weight of the average phone and lens combo isn't going to make it collapse if arranged well it has a nice little droop downwards that it seems to love to hang around even worth adjustments to counteract it. With the smaller lenses it is much more manageable. It can only fit phones and I wouldn't fancy trying to squeeze in one of those larger tablet style phones. It uses a spring system, pull the two sides apart and slide your phone in before it springs shut and nips your finger - not that I am speaking from personal experiance or anything. It's damn sturdy - no fears of it dropping my phone there which is a perk. Wide Angle&Macro Lens are physically screwed together and can take some convincing to screw apart given how slippery and tightly screwed they are. The wide angle seems useless given the Fisheye is far better at it and no lens at all is about the same as using it. It utterly ruins the macro lens though which on its own is an impressive 15x prime that can do a good job of getting closer but you must be at exactly the right distance - a few cm from the lens. Not the best for tricky subjects. Picture quality is clear and reliable. The Fisheye lens is fairly good. It does as it says on the tin, gets a nice wide shot with he styles of the wide-warped angle of a Fisheye. I was suitably impressed. Both the kaleidoscope and star filters are novelty and utterly unfit for purpose. By their design to be able to rotate to enhance their effects the main body moves - a real nuisance if you want to screw it onto the little clip-holder. It becomes almost impossible to get it on even holding the glass lens and sides it just kept spinning free in my hands. Maybe a magician can get it on but I wouldn't like to try and get it back off again. Best to just toss these in the bin. Several apps can do the job way better for you with far less difficulty. The remote shutter is a novelty idea. It connects to your device via Bluetooth and then maybe works with your native camera app. The compatability list goes from iPhone 5s to 4 and Samsung galaxy S2 to S4 while an assortment of Android phones are not covered. Needless to say it isn't up to date though they do offer their own camera app milage may vary. It's a guess if it will work with your more recent phone or any 3rd party camera apps you may want to use. It's kinda flimsy but works fine enough with just two buttons and a on/off switch. All in all you get about three halfway decent lenses a snazzy clip and tripod system and a little bag to hold it all (except the tripod) in. It ain't great but the macro, Telephoto and fish eye make up for the other more questionable lenses. The tripod slouch is made up for by the snappy phone grip. It's a very 50/50 thing.
